    I'll be teaching the Management of Information Systems (MGMT 310) course at the Friends University Topeka campus from April 29-May 27.
  • KC Wizards Meet-and-Greet

    I'll be attending the Kansas City Wizards Meet-and-Greet at Dave & Busters at the Legends Mall in Kansas City on Thursday, March 20th.

    KC Wizards LogoThe Kansas City Wizards will host the meet-and-greet event for players, staff, season ticket holders and other fans Thursday, March 20 at Dave & Buster’s at The Legends in KCK. The event will start at 5:30 p.m. for season ticket holders and open to the general public at 6:30 p.m. 

    Fans will be able to compete against and with players for prizes at various arcade games. Televisions will also be tuned to the NCAA tournament, and fans will have the opportunity to challenge Wizards midfielder Kerry Zavagnin in a tournament bracket challenge. Those who beat Zavagnin’s bracket will be entered into a drawing for a jersey autographed by Zavagnin himself.

    I plan on attending with my family from 5:30 to probably around 7pm.

  • Knowledge is Power Lecture Series
    Windows Vista and MS Office 2007

    Confused and frustrated by the latest Microsoft products Windows Vista and Office 2007? Want to preview their features before you make that expensive decision to upgrade? If you answered yes to either question, you will want to attend the next installment of the Knowledge is Power Lecture Series.

    Hosted by the Friends University Alumni Association and the Topeka Alumni Advisory Board, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about what changes have occurred to these products since they were last released, pick up helpful hints and tips for maneuvering around both systems, and have hands-on access to see first-hand how both systems work.

    The guest speaker for this event is Travis Reed, M’02. Reed is currently an adjunct instructor for Friends University and serves as an information systems specialist with the United States Postal Service.

    Attendees have the option of attending two dates for this event and a complimentary meal will be served to all who attend.

    • Thursday, Jan. 24, with check-in and dinner at 6 p.m., lecture to begin at 6:30 p.m.
    • Saturday, Jan. 26, with check-in and breakfast at 8:30 a.m., lecture to begin at 9 a.m.
